One of our fears in life is being worried that our needs will not be met. If we are afraid of our own needs not being met, then we will be reluctant to put the needs of others above our own. In Philippians, Paul tells us, “In humility value others above ourselves, not looking to our own interests but to the interests of others.” How do we do that? The answer is found in the assurance that our needs will be met, and how Jesus does that for us, by how “he humbled himself” and was “obedient to death, even death on a cross!”
