Our History

Christ the King Church was established in 1961 as a church plant of the American Lutheran Church. The property was originally a farm and the members met in the old goat barn, which is now the "Youth Center".
We experienced a season of renewal, growth, building, and coming alive through the charismatic renewal that was sweeping through mainline churches at the time.
The current sanctuary that members now meet in, was constructed and dedicated in 1977.
Christ the King Church decided to leave the Lutheran denomination.
Our Senior Pastor, Dwight Seletzky, was elected by the church body in August 2008.
Christ the King Church celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Christ the King Church joined the Association of Vineyard Churches USA and changed its name to Christ the King Vineyard Church.
